Dear Members and Guests

A committee has been formed to establish the new St George’s Day golf event at PHGC.

It is our intention to provide not only a major golf competition but an event which celebrates St Georges Day, the patron saint of England.

The aim of the day is to promote PHGC to local businesses, golfers and the public by displaying its wonderful course and demonstrate its ability to stage an enjoyable social event. On the day golfers will be able to compete for some magnificent prizes including hole-in-one par 3’s, the chance to win a car and many more.

The day is intended to have a “street party” atmosphere, offering a hospitality halfway house with traditional English Ales, Cider and Pimms. There will also be a seafood stall, sideshows and a spit roast served during the day and an evening buffet. The evening’s entertainment shall include a disco and a brilliant live band called Tremain.

The team entry fee covers 4 golfers plus their non golfing partners who are invited to enjoy both the daytime and evening entertainment

The Chelsea Pensioners are the adopted charity for the day and there will the opportunity to meet some of these great characters.

With your support we aim to make this day one of the main club events of the year. It will generate revenue, public awareness and hopefully become an unmissable annual occasion.
